Every Dog Deserves an Education !

Come one, Come all ~~ Every dog deserves an education ! 




Jennie Kottke and Miki Bertram will be offering a 10 week basic obedience course beginning May 23rd. They have over 30 years experience training and showing dogs and have judged multiple 4-H and funmatch shows. 

The first meeting will be at the pavillion by the river at Memorial Park - registration and info session only, no dogs. The remaining classes will be held at the Rusk County Fairgrounds near the Small Animal Barn. 

You will need proof of rabies vaccination, a 6 foot lead (not chain or rough rope please) and a well fitting training collar (help with this available at first meeting). There will be a brief education segment  and a showmanship class available to anyone interested after the obedience sessions. Discount available to 4-H members enrolled in the dog project and planning to exhibit at the fair. Last class will include a potluck graduation celebration ! 




$45 for the entire course , to be paid the first session.( $75 cap for multiple dog families)

  1. A portion of the class fee will go towards equipment and supplies for the Rusk County 4-H Dog Project. A donation from the class fees will also be made to the Rusk County Animal Shelter.
